Anyone ever convert stock air horns to train air horns ? I mean , still have stock horns on your truck but get some train horns and swap the parts that make it louder and sound like a train

Why would you want to do that?

In many cases blasting the standard air hair horn is not legal.

It’s not that simple. You have to increase the size of the valve and feed line. If you feed a train horn with factory lines you won’t be happy.

Like I mentioned in another thread yesterday about this. DO NOT replace a factory air horn or city horn with train horns. Add them “hidden” as a seperate accessory on a seperate switch or valve and on their own tank. They are considered illegal to most law enforcement. If they are activated by the oe horn lanyard pull or the button on the steering wheel and you hit them during an inpection you may have to remove them and get a ticket for inoperable horns.

I love train horns and have them on all my trucks mounted between the frame rails and on seperate switches isolated from the rest of the brake system and can be disabled at the turn of a shutoff ball valve if need be.
