Ok. I have no answer for for that. Have seen some strange things caused by slide valves in the compressor head. Restricted airline to governor res port, restricted air dryer and bad reed valves in the compressor inlet port. Will be interesting to learn what is going on.

Have you replaced the pop off valve? It is cheap. Could be a bad purge valve on the air dryerDiesel Dan 92 Thanks this.
-
yes I have replaced the pop off valve
-
Maybe a bad purge valve on the dryer. Or possibly the air governorDiesel Dan 92 Thanks this.
-
Have you pressure tested and made sure unloader in compressor is working?
Diesel Dan 92 Thanks this. -
governor has been replaced, I will look into purge valve thanks.
-
I have not. How does one go about testing the unloader?
-
I use a setup like this.
Put air to it and see if it leaks off. Your compressor is probably a Bendix BA921. Two torx bolt cover is unloader. Kit is K109119.Diesel Dan 92 and BoxCarKidd Thank this. -
The unloader valve is cheap. You can take it out and check it. Sometimes it can get carbon build up and not work properly. Or the spring can break or become weakDiesel Dan 92 Thanks this.
