They might help a 1/10th mpg when I installed them on my tractor only, but the main reason I like them is the improved stability in a crosswind and they keep the road spray off the drive tires from coming back up on my side mirrors. Don't ask me how something on the back of the sleeper fairing edge can keep road spray off my side mirrors up ahead them works, but it does. I quess it cleans up the turbulence bouncing off the front of trailer and down the side of tractor.

Around $200 for the Air Tabs and around 1 hour installing them was worth it and would do it again.

I've heard about the road spray . The guy I talked to at Air Tabs told me ( I know it's a sales pitch) but he said if I put them on
    Back of cab
    Top of cab
Front bumper side ( 2-3 each side )

I could get 2-3/10 out of them ..

So my thought was heck 200.00 for 3/10 pays for its self in 3 months if not sooner I was gonna bundle this with the following

    Fleet 1 air
Mega flow stack or PP ( undecided )
Air Tab ( as discussed )

Then get a ECM tune I think I can get a 2006 century doing well on the road

The truck shows lifetime ECM / MPG = 6.4 but it has been ran at 68 mph
    It's a 415 Detroit 3.70 rears 10 speed

My thoughts are I can get it up to 7.0-7.2 by adding the above and slowing down to around 63 which on the truck is about 1350 rpm

I have a bag full of them I scraped Off my truck previous owner had installed after he painted them badly with a spray bomb... Snake oil at best.. If you were close to me you could have them.

You should simply get a tune and turn your HP up, replace your stock muffler, and look into that EcoTab fuel saver. There is a huge thread in the owner operator section and O/O's on this board had all seen improvements from what I read. My dad just with the stock 515 tune got better MPG than the 455 tune. There are ton's of ways to save fuel, I'm sure you've probably read the Mesa Valley Trucking thread about their average MPG's.

I am currently just starting a test on the EcoTaz that has not shown a gain on first run, but they had me move it to a better location on in the fuel system to see if that works. My results are posted on that thread in the O/O section.

I put on set on my 2000 Century and saw a 4% (about 3/10s) gain. I put a partial set (sides only) on a trailer and saw no change at all. The tabs mounted easily on the fairings, however the top of the cab was a bit trickier. In order to have the tabs attach flat it was necessary to put them on in a V on the roof.

yes they will cut the spray down BIG TIME, i only have them on the sides and got a solid 1/10 and the truck (bobtail) or truck and trailer is more stable in a cross wind
you would be surprised at how many people put then on backwords
k & n makes the same filter and you DON"T need to oil it after cleaning

The air tabs did not really gain much fuel mileage, but the Fleet Air filter on my underhood air filter box unrestricted it to give around 3/10ths mpg better fuel mileage with better throttle response and quicker turbo spool up.

The Walker Megaflow Mufflers are a straight thru muffler and the pair on my truck picked it up around 3/10ths mpg and around $100 to $125 each at most truck part houses. They also come with a 4 year full replacement warranty because they are galvanized dipped to stop rusting.

Before you get an ECM tune, look at the Bully Dog Programmer. I don't have it because I already have a PP Box and had my ECM tuned, but with the Bully Dog Programmer you can change and try different programs for fuel economy or power or both along with reading codes. I do have the Bully Dog Watchdog that can be upgraded to the BD Programmer that I can't program my ECM with it, but I can read codes and it has great driving coach to fine tune those driving skills for maximum fuel mileage.

Here is a link to Bully Dog Website: http://bigrig.bullydog.com/

The Bully Dog Programmer can reload your ECM after a dealership wipes out the programming when they hooked to your ECM to keep from paying for it to be re-programmed if you have it custom tuned.

Just a suggestion and maybe others here with Bully Dog Programmer experience can chime in with more info good or bad?
