    Hello,
My company just leased several dry vans and they all sit very high and are not working well in our docks. We’ve slid the tandems forward to band aid the problem but that’s not ideal. It would be nice to able to dump the air bags. However, none of our new trailers have a valve for dropping the bags, and the bags stay up after the red knob is out. Am I correct in thinking that we can correct this by fiddling with the junction box( for lack of a better term) between the tandems? I assume the trailer manufacturers build them in a manner which would enable the users to set them up to either dump or stay up once the red knob is out. I think they are all Hyundai’s.
    Thanks!

Make sure the ride height is correct.

You can install a simple manual dump valve between the leveling valve and air bags, or swap to a leveling valve with an integral dump valve. Might not be able to do that to a leased trailer though.

Thanks for the help guys. Don’t know why I didn’t think of setting the proper ride heigth, I’ve done it with tractors but I didn’t even think about it with the trailers. I’m sure we can have the lease company come out and drop them a couple of inches, they are as high as Everest right now.
    thanks!
