It's typically not worth your while to drive in any snow east of the Mississippi.

then you may as well not drive a truck half the year.

"Don't drive faster than you can see" - 'bout sums it up.
I only kept going cause 2 trucks ahead of me left 4 tire tracks, and the rest was still blowing around.
It hadn't started sticking all white clear across the road yet.
This could have put me out of business, more ways than one.

Daft. Weather can always appear out of nowadays but the moment you can’t see past your front bumper it’s YOUR responsibility to shut that truck down or modify your speed to a point that you can stop. We all know what it takes to stop these trucks and running blind is insane as well as waiting for Al Roker to tell you to stop or slow down.

I hit a snow squall in Ohio earlier this year on 71 between Columbus and Akron.
Scariest few miles of my driving career….one minute it was clear… next was white out conditions and no idea where the road was. I just kept slowing down… had no idea where the lanes were so I couldn’t just stop…. Some idiots were still flying past… a few hit the ditches…
Lucky that it ended quick. I’d rather drive for hrs in a snow storm than ever drive in an instant white out condition again…

There is a video from a drivers cam on you tube that drove right on threw this before all the knuckle heads that decided not to back pedal to a more realistic speed. I wonder if anyone knows which video I am talking about and could you post a link to it.

I bet this year we'll see a record number of pile-ups. Almost a guarantee that the first recordable snow in Wyoming will have one. Half the trucks will be from California.

I'll be parked at the truckstop with a bucket of popcorn.

Too fast for conditions. That’s all I can say here.

Now 6 people are dead because of totally avoidable stupidity.
