We went through an update in our area recently with Alltel. You know the reprogram the entire phone update, by dialing *228 and selecting the options that you want to update. Did I mention this was a forced update, in the middle of the week. They basically hi-jacked the phone until you did the requested update. Hubby and I both did the updates, well guess what?
They didn't tell you that you have to be in your home calling area to perform the update, and hubby wasn't home when he did his. So now, he can make calls, but cannot receive them. He has to go to an alltel store to get the phone reprogrammed, so that he can receive calls.
According to Alltel, they have been having problems with these new updates all day. So beware, if you are going to update your phone, you must be in your home calling area to do so.
He missed a pretty sweet load today because of this garbage.
ALLTEL now really sucks!

Ok, so now the phone doesn't work in places that it did work. Cannot get any signal. Took it in to the office, she played with the phone for a bit, and handed it back to me and said it should be good to go. Well, its not. This transition with Verison is not going well.
