I typically have my headphones in listening to audiobooks. Not full blast. But loud enough I do imagine where I would not have heard the horn. It was one of those weak horns. Barely audible over my very low volume music I had running through my radio using an iPod.
Almost killed someone.

This has happened to me enough times in my early years that now it's become a habit to change lane slowly and listen for a horn. I always have my passenger side window cracked open a couple of inches.

You're absolutely right. I usually don't. i always pause my audiobook when I'm driving through a major city. BUT. It was pre dawn coming out of Atlanta on a Saturday morning. Very little traffic. So I did have in some music softly. Again, thank god I didn't have it up loud. I fear I would t have heard or even felt side swiping this car. Crazy.pattyj Thanks this.
