Yep, I see alternators lasting years. They are more reliable now I think. Don't change them as often as I used to.

guys same problem here my alter was bad I change get the rebuild and max 13 quote was $2700 I almost piss in paint rebuild $450 less amp but works I have 14.5 amp measure at the batt 12.2 any help thanks

Another indicator the alternator has a problem is the CB radio will start buzzing with the motor rpms.

Yeah I'm reading 12.2 in my freightliner? Is my alternator bad?

Reading 12.2V with the truck running, yes it is bad if the belt ain't slipping.

When I put the APu on it reads 13.6.
