i like to roll up on the scale really fast slam on the breaks then jump out asking what the hell they want. then proceed to tell them how iv been running 24 hours straight on a hot load and i don't have time for there bs.

hell that tire has like 30-100 miles left on it. i hope you don't plan on wasting money changing that thing early. if its black and round and has some air in it its good to go.

If you keep paper logs in addition to the e logs, you will be covered. If there is an eld malfunction, you are required to duplicate that day plus the 7 days before on paper logs. I never stopped doing paper because if something goes wrong with the eld, HTF am I supposed to duplicate on paper what I did for the past week accurately?

Almost correct. You can't have two sets of certified logs. You MUST have blank paper logs in the truck, even if you are on ELD's or AOBRD. If you don't you can be cited.

If you are certifying your E-logs or AOBRD then you CANNOT also be running paper logs and certifying them. That's been drilled into our skulls since last year. We can only go on paper logs if we have an RA # from Rand McNally and e-mail or other communication from them that our unit is malfunctioning.

In my case the Gremlins appear intermittently. Therefore I have been studiously bypassing scales when possible.

    ^^^^^This

I keep a running paper log of what's really happening.

And I have a blank paper log in the cubby for when I'm told I need to provide an accurate 7 day (14?).

I'm just trying to CMA as best I can.

I know the time is coming and I do not want a fine because some guy in India didn't study his Java script and our FMCSA enough to keep me rolling.
