wow it seems to me that you are a company driver and your time means nothing if you choose to sit around and wait on people. Owner operators in my mind are business owners time is money. I guess your case that's not the appropriate quote. Have to admit your one of the few I have come across that sits for days at your own expense. It seems you don't have the support of whoever you are hauling for else they would be causing waves. God luck with your future endeavors maybe you need find another career where you don't sit like the typical company driver!
Any flatbed o/ops

Oh dear.....
I wont bother with a detailed reply, but needless to say, you Sir are clueless when it comes to me and my business. You wouldn't be a "lease operator" by chance would you?
Getting what I get paid, I can afford to sit for a while if needed. I still bill $125 per hour, and most times get it. The difference is, I am there to be able to bill for it.
Carry on with the attitude though, as it just makes folks like me look even better.
MartinHarley Charlie Thanks this. -
Good luck to you I am so very happy that your one in a million that can call the shots (so you think) and I have no desire to know what your business is thank you. Btw I'm a female trucker with more brains than brawn! Have yourself a nice day sat wherever you waiting for your next load
-
Female, male, anything in between, I dont care as it is totally irrelevant to this conversation.
I get paid to sit, when I sit, so will gladly sit all day on every load, for my $1250 a day.
Keep racking those miles up though.......

(SIGH!)
There are several things you overlooked.
1. It was a SUNDAY load!!!!!!!!!!! Flatbed forum rules apply. Do you know what that means? Every flatbedder that has stated that what happened to OP is part of the business because it is a Sunday load. Not a weekday, freakin Sunday.
2. In our industry, SERVICE IS KING. Lefty isn't focusing on the money one one load, he's looking at establishing a network, a connection, a good customer relationship that could put money in his pocket not just for one load, but many in the future. If that means waiting til Monday then yes, that's a small investment.
3. Time management. If you are after a Sunday load, and it gets delayed, why in the heck would you go all the way to the house if you had intentions of getting the load? That's stupid.
Tell us more about how that wonderfully short sighted brain of yours works. And next time, before you launch an attack, do some recon.bigtssa, leftlanetruckin and MJ1657 Thank this. -
I'm so sorry you got so upset and you had to run your lame brain pound pound pound off the roof of your truck. Maybe take the time to read the post again code doesn't work no 24/7 dispatch etc etc no one at shipper. How an earth can you prevail to even comment if you have not endured the same situation. As for customer service I find you to be the most arrogant obnoxious person on this forum pray do tell where that small mind of yours is I have better things to do than argue with someone of calibre and short sightedness

Come on people,,,,lets act maturely in here.. This isn't a place to call people names and "the last word" attitude. Relax, take a deep breath and talk maturely...
bergy Thanks this. -
Thank you. Arrogance is a way of life.

Look Triple Six,,brit64 hasn't been in here long enough to see how this place is. Be a mentor now, you have been here almost as long as me..lol
-
Sorry triple six the comment I made was not intended for you I just feel for the dude that seemed have no way out of a situation. Whether anyone thinks he was wrong or right the forum is designed to assist one another unlike the example set by leftlanetruckin
Thanks
