So I got great credit (765) and everywhere wants 20% down. Is there anywhere that finances with 10%. I'm in Indiana. Thanks.

I forgot the name of the bank..Call Top Trucks out of bethal Pa and ask them for the financial bank they use in Harrisburg Pa.They will give you the number and then call them...They do all Tractors and Farming Loans..Last time i spoke with them they had a pretty good % rate on trucks...10% DOWN and GOOD CREDIT will get you going..

It might be tough for a new owner operator though to only have to cough up 10%, might be paying a little higher interest rate also.

Very true, that may happen.Everyone's credit makeup is different in the eyes of the underwriter..All he can do is call and they will take an app over the phone and then they will give him the scoop on were he stands...It is only a phone call away...

as a first time buyer you may have to just accept that you will be putting more down. the failure rate for first time buyers is scary high. it's also a reason I always try to stress to guys to buy a cheap no frills basic truck to guys buying their first, keep that payment low and your will have a much much easier time succeeding in this industry

indeed always buy used, I see some people who want to go out and buy a brand new truck and only been driving for a few months....

I would rather save a ton of money and buy a used truck at $40k than a new one at $150k
buy the used, put a little bit of money into it making it real nice and there you go...

in today's truck market, 25 to 35 grand can get you a whole lot of truck that's ready to work the day it rolls off the lot.

I paid five percent down with GE last week but I have owned a truck before and my credit score is over 800. Their rate was very good.
