I don't know any personally... but a lawyer once gave me some advice.
    1) When you need a lawyer but don't know anyone, ask another lawyer for a referral. A good type of lawyer to ask is one who handles personal injuries. Most of them will talk to anyone for five minutes.
    2) Check yellow pages attorney ads. (Yes, this is old advice.) A lawyer who advertises he is a former prosecutor in that jurisdiction often handles criminal cases, including traffic citations.

Good luck. Let me know what happens.

Most carrier's insurance allows a small amount of minor infractions [how many depends on the company rules] usually one or two minor offenses and, usually, one at fault accident over a three year period while serious offenses, DUI, 15mph over, reckless, leaving the scene, etc. are prohibiting.

it also depends on the charges too, the guy above with the NJ 'Careless Driving' [2pts] will often find some companies equate it to 'reckless' which is 5pts in NJ.....since the insurance is usually located in another state, a lot of them view careless as prohibiting until we explain the difference.

Enter it on your annual review form and make sure to mention that it was an auto and not a CMV...if your fuel delivery company actually does the annual review....

BTW you are supposed to notify the carrier, in writing, about the conviction within 30 days...nobody does.
