so this is probably a dumb question but I have my new entrant safety audit...they ask for 30 consecutive days of RODs..>I am running paper logs as generally I drive less than 8 days every 30. So do I send in 30 days of driving records? or 30 days (calendar days) consecutive showing the days I drove?

    Why ask here?

Ask your company, or the people running the audit.

30 consecutive calendar days. Showing your driving and hours/days you're off duty.

What you need to send should be stated in the communication to you. I had to send 30 consecutive days anywhere in a 6 month period. Bill of ladings for those days along with fuel receipts. All my stuff matches so no problems there. I did have a few pieces of paperwork over 80,000lbs in an 80,000 lb. state. Oops. I came out all good though.

Ask the officer to clarify. They should their contact information in the letter they sent you. I've never seen one that didn't spell it all out as clear as day but this audit is to help your learn not punish you. They're essentially there to train you how to give them what they need for regulatory purposes.

That is helpful...What the auditor said was there were some 'GAPS'.. I sent him 30 calendar days but only drove like 8 of those days. I think I have to ask him to clarify if he wants what you gave ...ie. 30 consecutive DRIVING days or just 30 calendar days it just isn't clear from how he wrote it. Thank you tho!!

I’m sure they are used to seeing more activity.

I sent my IFTA, my BOLs and my logs for a 30 day period and I wasn’t tearing up the interstate either but there was a good chunk of loads in there and that was all they needed on that.

I just told him I run a few days and take a few days off and start over again and he was good with that.

As was said speak with the officer, mine was almost over friendly but was very clear on what he wanted and it was pretty easy process.
