are you tight against the pin when you try to release?

back up that tiny bit to relieve pressure on the pin??

 

I did not know Autocars were in production. Had one I needed a dipstick tube and dipstick for. Called the Volvo Mack dealer and they asked me for the engine serial number. No nothing came up. You know we are really a Volvo Mack dealer.
Told that person that I thought Autocar was the HD division of White. Then there were the White Western Stars. Believe I saw both of those brands with their name on the hood and White printed in the gauges on the dash. Thought Western Star broke off but Volvo was still the dealer for Autocar after the Volvo White GMC heavy truck corp deal.
I don't know but I will put that truck serial number in. Well I'll be ######, it came up. Sorry parts are not available.
Found an IHC with the same engine and ordered that. Different but it worked. Price was crazy.

Spotter truck? Does it have an air release 5th wheel and a hydraulic lift? If you let it down to far before you release you could be getting it in a bind. If you list the brand and model # of the plate you might be able to get some more help. Not from me as I have not been around spotters for 20 years. How about a picture? What does a 2022 Autocar look like?
