Hello, I know automatic transmissions suck. I have 2017 Kenworth T680 with an Eaton fuller ultra shift automatic transmission. Recently it started with a problem when upshifting usually between 3rd and 5th gear it seems to miss the gear and the rpm’s go up and down trying to get it in gear and just stays in neutral. And when it finally gets it in gear it stays stuck in that gear and I park and put it in neutral it stays stuck in that gear until I turn it off and back on. This only happens in between shifting gears. I’m thinking it might be the XY shifter . I recently replaced the clutch and the problem started shortly after. Other than that, the transmission does good on highway and streets. It rarely happens, I notice it happens more when u don’t accelerate enough to get the next gear if that makes sense. Thank you for your time

My 2018 T680 with the 10spd Eaton auto is doing the same thing- flashes “adaptive cruise control fault- seek service” on the dash, then doesn’t want to shift. Put it in “manual” mode and can get it to shift with the buttons- but it never makes it past 4th gear in “D”. Local KW shop “can’t replicate concern”, did a TCM software update, and the same thing happened less than 1/4 mile out their gate…spin around right back to put it back in the shop again…
My guess (so far) is either XY shifter or adaptive cruise control system…
