Now that there's context, 3300 miles and 889 each is terrible for teams. Solos at a good company are taking home 1100 to 1400 on average depending on what that individual driver has going on personally.

Gee, I was driving that many miles SOLO!

So, between the 'soft market' and the cyclical nature of LTL (plus all the 'questionable' drivers coming from foreign-owned 1099 companies), I'd expect profits to be down.....

I won’t haul for less than $7 a mile and I know everything. This is the internet after all.

I’ve seen teams running for UPS before that’s the best route right there to take. They should do very well there. As for the $850 that’s what they will take out on taxes for you ha ha ha

2023 ruling from the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals requires trucking companies to pay team truck drivers for time spent in the sleeper berth that exceeds eight hours.
    • n 2016, Juan Carlos Montoya and other former CRST trainee drivers filed a class action lawsuit against CRST International and CRST Expedited. The lawsuit claimed that CRST's compensation policies violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

    • The ruling
FLSA. The court's decision was based on the following:

    • The nature of the drivers' physical location

    • The limitations on the drivers' activities while in the berth

    • The fact that the second driver in a team is not truly free while in the sleeper berth
The court's decision is potentially groundbreaking because it's the first to rule on whether team drivers should be compensated for time spent in the sleeper berth that's not considered part of the eight hours of sleep time required by federal law

You're being screwed. Wife and I gross $2500 week each on 2800 miles each. Home 4 hrs day and 2 full days on weekends hauling LTL for R+l carriers. Read my thread I started 10 years ago when we started.
Husband and wife team starting with R&L Carriers

    LTL BULL SAID:
R&L teams are knocking down 90,000$ plus annually for teams. Yeah you’re leaving a lot on the table. I’d check with an R&L terminal near you.
Got ahold of R&L and they said they've cut off hiring to make sure they keep the teams they have running but they said with us being married and coming on as a team together that they would love to have us they said to call back in February and they would get us in there. They said 2 grand a week guaranteed and off every sat and sun! We're working 7 days a week gone a month at a time and home 2 days a month right now for maybe 900 a week so that's a game changer! Thanks for the heads up we've called and tried so many different companies and had never heard of RnL and turns out their 80 miles from where we live

o I was low on the gross but it’s been almost 4 years since I left. Regardless their headed to the Mean Green R&L Machine once they cease the seasonal hiring pause Mike.
