Superior or hopefully stay with ups I'm on seasonal now
-
Part time now?
-
If so you won't get a full time job with benefits for a while.
-
Yes and I'm aware but the hub I'm at seems to be pretty easy to move up at the driver inwas with last Monday only loaded trucks 4 months before promotion. I don't expect mine to be that quick but it's full of 50+ year old guys so if i get hired part time after seasonal I may stay for awhile.

You've been in a meat cooler too long if you think Full time JB Hunt is better than Full time ABF...
-
Details why please?
-
It was a a JB vs Averitt question to begin.
Pintlehook Thanks this. -
Pay and insurance alone. Depending on the area, Road Drivers are well in to the 60cpm range, paid for everything you do (drop and hooks, fueling, breakdown pay, etc.). It's not unheard of for those guys to approach 130k/year and that's with free insurance for you and your family. City guys are around $27/hr (in my area, this will depend on the region) with time and a half after 8 in a day and 40 in a week.
But notice I said FULL time...those jobs can be difficult to find.localyokal and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
i got a buddy working for ABF and hes happy as can be. gets paid bennies for him and the family and brings home $1100 to $1200 a week after taxes.lagging Thanks this.
