Job offer from averitt running out of Clarksville Tn. Flex Dedicated position. Was curious if the pay is worth what I have heard about dealing with DG account. It's this job, or returning to the beer distribution business! Any advise is welcome!

I would say you should go for regional as they have made changes for the better. Once you get 6 months with the company you can move around and go to other division's of the company. Overall is a good company.

    Rythemtravler Thanks this.

I never met a driver doing DG for as long as a year. Tons of drivers talk themselves into how much money they are going to make and minimizing the hassles. Of all the choices you can make in this world, DG is one of them. Have the company get a veteran DG driver call you and talk to him about the work.

Will do! Thanks all for the advice! I don't have any ties to be home as of now so I'd rather get into driving national with a solid company, but need to get at least 30 days decent TT experience to even be brought on board most OTr companies. So I think I'm going to get back on a beer route local to get all the backing practice I can, and then move to a national carrier! Unless I hear from a driver like u suggested and it's a good deal to take. Thanks again! Enjoy learning everything I can and just discovered this site!
