Correct me if I am wrong--but wasn't the OP asking about Canadian 60 spread on tractor drives??/

Show us a picture. Ya, on drivers olhand. I just made the statement about 10 ft trailer spreads. I was leased to Watkins Shepard Flatbed div and they told me to buy a 10 ft spread to keep me out of CN.
Split tandems are used in semitrailers in the western border
States. They allow, where permitted, operating five-axle
tractor-semitrailers at a GVW of 86,000 pounds and more
flexibility in loading at lower GVWs. The 10-foot spread of
these axles is effectively prohibited by the Canadian RTAC
regulations and by the western Canadian provinces. Ontario
and Quebec permit the use of split tandems.

Saw a report last week in WA Post. Truckers avg pay/yr $36,000.00. 26000 after taxes Thats almost as much as the Golden Arche Supper Club or Wallyworld pay.

I always seemed to get better traction in snow and ice with the 60".

Haven't driven for over 3 years now. I broke in that Pete when it came out of the fab shop. It's got a 40 ton winch on it.

And rides better, and when I pulled a trailer with the axles spread, it was like riding in a limo.

I'm thinking about specing one in a new Pete with a long wheelbase.... Different look and maybe a touch smoother ride...

The trailer spread is a wayyy smoother ride, no question...
