    hey all
It's been little bit over 1 year since I started driving a truck. My full time job is LTL so I am constantly in and out the truck and less driving than usual.
I recently started working for Fedex ground on part time basis. It's a whole new different driving. Yes I drove for about 10 hours which I never did
This morning my lower back is killing me. Having a really difficult time just bending, twisting, opening up the trailer doors, etch etc.

My question is how normal is it for the back to hurt like if your constantly sitting for extended periods of time.
How do long haul truckers do it?
    Any tips?

Sounds like you have other issues, how old are you?

I see people with back problems are usually overweight & out of shape.

Same thing happened to me. Used to drive flatbed for construction companies. Lots of walking and climbing. Now I do reefer with lots of driving. I had to get a memory foam bottom cushion along with a lower back cushion. I also try to stretch and take a walk when I've been driving too long.

Could your back have been hurt while using a pallet jack pulling a skid off the trailer? Try using an Icy Hot patch and see if you get relief from that...

While I was driving yesterday I kept on positioning myself frequently and it was paining than.
