I worked for a company that had a driver write a bol for this reason.
They discovered the beer and he showed the hand written bol so they charged him the freight...seriously..they did -

Here is what you do. Contact your local spirit shop. Have them submit a special order back to where you are standing in wherever interested in a product. Your hometown spirit shop will special order it and ship to them, so when you get home you will get in your CAR (NOT tractor trailer, ever...) pay it, take it home in the trunk and then consume it.
There are certain drinks I like which isn't for retail sale or special order in Arkansas, So I use a regular car to make a trip across the state line and get it there.
CMV and alcohol = NO. NYET. NEIN. Forgetaboutit. Are you daft? What's matta wid ya! etc.
Even if you hauled a trailer out of Port of Baltimore going downtown to Seagrams, you are handed a alcohol license to go with that load. It cannot move from A to B without that particular license on you and the tractor papers for it. -
