Just in case some of you didn't know about this, there is a new parking area in Christiana, TN off I-24. 104 Forbus Drive. About 40 miles from Nashville and 90 from Chattanooga. I do not know what they charge. This is a secure area, with 100 places. You can call ahead and reserve them. You have to have a passcode to get in. There are two places to eat nearby, a McDonalds and Subway. There is a 6 foot fence around the place with barbed wire, and security cameras with lighting. They are recorded and monitored. The parking spaces are all at a 45 degree angle to make getting in and out easier.![]()

Looks like 30$ a day. Hell of a business idea
TheLoadOut Thanks this. -
I was paying $12-15 a day for Pilot, but I could manage my day pretty well knowing I had a place to stay. I would time it out where I had less than 30 minutes left to drive. If I wasn't close on hours I would fill up and be ready to hit the road first thing, or idle over early in the morning. It was a good way to accumulate as many miles as possible and still know you had a safe place to park.Big Road Skateboard and Puppage Thank this.

Always wondered why there isnt more businesses like these. Then I watched a Loves employee pick up a 1 gallon pee jug, open the cap, pour it on the lot next to him and throw the jug in the garbage can he was toting around. Im not sure what I would charge to have to do this type of work daily, but all of you together could not afford it. I guess some would do it for crack money.

Agreed! Include nice showers and restrooms at a safe, secure parking area. 50$ a day not unthinkable4wayflashers Thanks this.

This country would collapse without us. We shouldn't have to pay for parking.
Puppage, TheLoadOut, Savor the Flavor and 1 other person Thank this. -
I understand your sentiments, but if you bought a piece of land, paved it, marked it, put up a fence around it, and made it secure I doubt (unless you are filthy rich) you would be letting people park free. And you can still hit a truck stop for free, if you are willing to get off the road at 4 PM.AModelCat Thanks this.
