Ok so my hubby is getting ready to switch to being an IC with Schneider, we requested his DAC because we were unsure if one preventable was on it or not. When we got it in it is blank. No job history what so ever. He worked for Prime for over a year and has now been with Millis for 8 months.

Anyone have any insight on this for me?

Did you call Hire Right and verify there is no information posted? If nothing, then nothing was reported.

I guess my big quandry with it is the lack of work history. Do some companies not report?

Companies are not required to enter anything on a DAC report. It is voluntary. Most mega carriers do Subscribe to DAC, but if there is nothing to enter, ie. BAD report, there may not be anything there.
If the company you are trying to hire onto queries DAC and does not get a reply, no biggie. They will contact your former employers and request verification of employment.
    A clean DAC is a GOOD DAC.:biggrin_25525:

Yeah I guess, we were expecting two preventables on it and questioning a third but to have it come back blank was a surprise.

Some companies hold them "in house" and do not report them. A better driving record after the fact will usually clean the slate also. It could also depend on how much the accidents were if they decide to report them or not.

one was a 6 inch gouge in a trailer, no damage to any other property. Second was a door ding from driver side door hitting the passenger door of another truck. The third was the only one with actual damage, just having to fix the front bumper that got caught by the rear trailer tire.

DAC is a report card, not a job history. if there's nothing on it. then pat yourself on the back. most rookies aren't that fortunate.

the smart thing for the future. is not work for companies that use dac. it's a bad mouthing tool used by mega carriers for mega carriers.

there are way more companies that don't use dac then do use dac.

the gooberment needs to outlaw that company. specially in a time where too many people are looking for work.

All of them were reported to Prime when he worked there. We did not know if they were going to be on his DAC. Assumed that the trailer and bumper incidents were on it but we did not know for sure about the door one. But apparently Prime did not report any of them to DAC.
