2 buddies had similar issues both had lights with the chrome inserts and after I told them it’s a possible issue they tried normal lights and had no issues.. some can short out internally and mess things up

Yes sent it to a shop as to not take the time needed to fix issue off from work. Corroded wires in the harness along with chaffed wires was the issue.
