Well, I know for a fact it is $183.50 for blowing the scales in Cabool, MO. I was overweight and knew it, so I thought I'd take a chance. The thing about MO is, the DOT officers drive their personal vehicles to the scale house. So if you blow by and he's there by himself, they're not coming after you. Well, as luck would have it, as I blew the east bound scales, there were three DOT bears in the west bound scales, but I couldn't see them for the trucks that were in there. Needless to say, one came after me, and was kinda laughing at me when he walked up to the truck. That happens A LOT at these scales.
Another time was at the Eddyville, KY scales on I-24. I was going east, and everyone on the radio said the east bound side was working hard, doing inspections and checking log books. I have Pre-Pass, and as I approached the scales, I got a green light. Well, as I was driving by the scales, I noticed there was an officer at the scales staring a hole through my truck. Next thing I know, a buddy of mine I was running with that was behind me said, "they're coming after you". I didn't know why, but I kept going. Hell, I had a flashing green light, so he could burn as much of the states gasoline as he wanted. Well, as bad luck for my friend would have, he was the one that got pulled over, ha ha! When the trooper walked up to his truck and realized he stopped the wrong one, he got in his car, did a flip, and went back west. I still don't know why he came after me, but oh well.
