Former active duty Marine trying to get into hot shot trucking. I am looking at getting a 2010-2013 Ram 3500 crew cad long bed or possibly 4500 single cab with a sleeper. Trying to find someone around houston that would get me some loads to save up for a 40' gooseneck. I currently have a 20' tandem axle bumper pull trailer with sides that is rated around 9,000 lbs. I work.in the oil patch currently and have seen numerous trucks haul stuff in their bed. Thinking maybe I could use the bed or small trailer until I get the flatbed trailer. I also do not have my CDL and would like to go as long as I can without one, unless I have to then I could more than likely use my GI Bill for a local school around me.

You could add to your list or Look for a 2006 specifically 5.9L mega cab. Great engine, great truck. All it needs is a bully dog and you're in business with 13-16 mpg loaded.
    they're out there.
