    They never were suppose to, but I too remember some of the old trailers doing that before they had spring brakes. The lights would stay on till the air ran down, it seems like.

    My dads old macks would light up the brake lights when the parking brakes were set. Sometimes would warp the plastic in the lights from the bulb heat.
