Ur idea is fine Danny--best legal way--but if ur going in late nite--u can take 2d exit off bridge on 278--ft Hamilton pkwy--there is a no truck sign but we all ignore it--and it is NOT a pkwy just a city st named pkwy--it turns into Caton--just past ocean--same place u would come in to if u took the 278 prospect loop to south and down--rite turn onto prospect can b rite but doable--anywhere out beach end of Bklyn is a pita--good luck

Well, I got the load. I'll be delivering tomorrow, gonna try to get in early an keep my fingers crossed there's a spot to park down there... Looks like I need to take Mcdonald from Prospect Expwy to Church St. I'm a little concerned about the turn from Mcdonald to Church, looks okay going, but if I come back that way is tight.

Maybe I'd be better off taking Caton both ways ? Is it okay to take Prospect, get off on 5th, turn left on Caton, turn right on Flatbush ? I dunno, thinking of scrapping this and taking 65th to Mcdonald to Ave U to Flatbush.

Coast Guard is on Staten Island only that I know of, unless they snuck one in over in Brooklyn. There is a Navy Base in Brooklyn

it's a little farther but the easiest is 278, get off at atlantic ave., make a right and then another right onto flatbush. run that straight down to aviation. church and caton are one lane, but flatbush is 2. get behind a double parked car or truck on either one of them in the shopping areas and it might take a bit to get through not to mention the lights.

I just delivered off Ave M right off McDonald last week. It's all truck route. Just follow the signs down the Prospect Expwy for the truck route. Pretty simple. Some turns might be tight. Just remember this one rule: in NYC, take all the space that's given to you. Makes things a lot easier.

Sorry, my info is outdated as i left Brooklyn for good in 1984. The NYPD Aviation unit, Park Ranger police and an Army reserve unit are all still there.
