The dispatching has been a huge disaster, but the workflow is easy to navigate. But 2 questions.
1. How the heck do you know when a new pre assignment is available? I know the orange circle with the exclamation point pops up, but usually its already there due to overspeed, over rpm or over idle. I have the mobile app on my phone, but don't feel like checking it every 10 minutes.
2. Can we get the MAC 16 back? I put my directions on a 5 x 8 card. I'm not a big fan of gps.

If you have the volume turned up on the Qualcomm Jill will tell you "a new preassignment has been received".
-
Yeah, but I don't like to have the volume turned up all the time. Always seems like I am dinging the overspeed.
-
Well you did ask how you were supposed to know. Thats how you know.
exracer941 Thanks this. -
That's really the only way as far as I know. The orange exclamation point circle will almost ALWAYS be on. Even a simple workflow update will trigger it.

1. Not to be a smart ### but the way to know if you have a preassignment is to check workflow when you are stopped. No other way
2. MAC 16 is gone (most likely). Van's MAC 14 or 17 (whatever the one for schneider directions) is gone for us. The question really is how accurate do they input the GEO codes into Navigo to show where the place is located. It's usually 100% accurate on van side (actual location on the map is accurate, directions still can be goofy). I know when I ran bulk a lot of the chemical plants are a pain in the ### to find (addresses not marked, 100 different plants in the same area that aren't marked, etc). Good luck with that lolharlycharly55 Thanks this. -
I have my Samsung in a cradle with the SNI app opened; a fingers hits refresh every 8 minutes when it's not occupied hunting my nares..
Usually only do that when I am near my drop because my pre-assignments don't hit me as early as they use to.
I write the last few directions on my wing window with an eraseable marker but I run 95% of my nav off my Garmin only cross referencing Navigo for the last few access directionsexracer941 Thanks this. -
Guess I'll have to turn Jill on . ( see what I did there
). I have been driving for 9 years, so do have a few customers cataloged. Agreed that it is pretty easy to hit the refresh button on the app. Guess its just the old resistance to change thing. And I can double check things with mapquest and google maps.

I just check my not and press assignment every time I stop. O TN error than that I don't worry about it.
In theory the old SNI directions got put into navigo. In practice y'all will spend the next year sending feedback to update the navigo directions.
Welcome to the dark side by the way. -
Hope you have better support for SNIfus when you call in. (See what I did there?)
exracer941 Thanks this.
