I used to pull one of these things, and don't recall the livestock being cramped or crowded. Especially horses for this question - ---- now with all this business in the news as to how in humane it is to stick horses in a bull rack.
I am talking about the kind that has 4 compartments....
with the lower deck being pretty close to the ground, if you can picture this.
Now my question is this. Can anyone give me the inside height dimensions (head room) in one of these types racks? Need to settle the bunny huggers fears that we are in humane when we put horses in these things.
Not drafts but your regular quarter horse...............
    Anyone?

13'6 trailer, take off a foot and a half for clearance and frame rail heights, and you have at least 6 foot height available in each compartment. Depends on the designs though. I don't like the idea of horses in one, since it lacks the padding usually found in horse trailers. For cows and other animals, it's acceptable because uaually they are taking a short one way ride in a long trailer.

A 4 rack bull rack will ONLY be hauling pigs, sheep, goats or calves. You will never get full size cattle in one.

I'm not sure that the compartments are 6. I'm 5'8 and with a normal sole shoe I can't walk completely upright.
