I had a '08 KW and started hearing a thumping sound but boss told me to finish the trip and then bring it to shop. Didn't make it. Turned out cam shaft broke on the side of I-15 in Utah.

 

So I set up in a motel room in Saint George for 3 days drinking beer and watchin movies!

 

Me being mechanical, I always got a kick out of people telling me their car or boat was making a really loud noise for about 3 days before it blew up.

Still to this day stopped at a light and I hear some nice car s lifters clacking away and look over at the young girl playing on her phone saying to myself that hood hasn't been opened in a year.
