    Hello All,
    newbie here, I purchased a truck that was in great shape but the motor had been torn down to the point that the crank was exposed. I am pretty sure its past some of the wd40 and 1000 grit ideas I have read about.
    So my question is, is it safe to turn one of these cranks? Is it standard practice? I am planning to work this truck and want to do it right

    crokets cloth is the only way to clean up a crank but if it looks to rough or dont meet specs. dont turn the crank replace it with new.
