Have a 2000 Freightliner with a c12 and 8ll starting up its sputtering and blowing white smoke at startup, it goes away after a few minutes and idles normal. The truck runs fine after starting up, and pulls great under a load, it only misses or sputters at startup and sometimes when going through the gears at 1200-1400 rpm only when cold then it’s fine again. Did injectors, fuel pump, coolant temp sensor, ambient air temp sensor, doesn’t use drop of coolant or oil did cylinder cut out test 4 times and “passed that” injectors made it smoke a little more at start up, any suggestions because I’m out of luck.

Trace amount of coolant getting by a breached head gasket? It builds up as it sits, and not running, thus the sputtering and white smoke at start up. An oil sample might pick up coolant in the oil.
