being new to the industry there is probably an amount of common information that the layperson (myself) may not know.

    Such as,

I think cabovers are sexy as hell! They look awesome imo.

Why are they no longer manufactured except in Europe?
    Is it a safety factor?
Is it because it has the aerodynamics of a brick?

Cabovers in the US were a necessary evil due to the length laws at that time. Once those laws changed they disappeared. Yes poor aerodynamics compared to a sloped nose. Yes bad for safety, the saying was, in an accident you were the 1st one there! The last versions had flat floors in front of the bunks, so they were a little better than the old dog house versions, but they still sold lots of replacement windshields from when guys jacked up the cab to work on the engine, and the TV set came flying out! The conventionals now, with set back axles, even turn tighter than some of the cabovers did.

I love the look of the old 70s and 80s model cabovers.

You ain't never heard of the television show movin' on or BJ & the Bear? Man, they were just a big as Dukes of Hazard & Airwolf!

The truck in Over the Top I believe was a Mack.
