If you’re that passionate about running paper, just buy a pre-2000 engine truck and be happy.

Yeah okay we never did? What word do you live in? Lets pull everyones speeding tickets from 2000 for trucks and then tell me we NEVER SPEED. People been parking on ramps well before ELD mandate. Your Argument is so much BS that its funny.

Children want and need the government to be their nanny, this industry has more children driving than at any point in history; they will embrace without question anything their nanny orders them to do and parrot the nannies reasons.

Trying to convince them of the superiority of personal responsibility is like trying to talk a brick wall into moving; a waste of time

I disagree but ELDs make it easier people should be fighting for better HOS not to remove ELDs. Sooner or later paper will no longer be a thing.

ELDS don’t force you to do anything YOU do it to yourself... You either cheat or you don’t on the HOS elds just monitors that period

I quit a small company 2 years ago because they only ran paper to run us illegally. The last straw was when on my 6th day out and 68 of 70 hours used, my boss ordered me to get another log book and head back out for another week without a reset. I said no, he said I have to, I said I quit. End of story. Been on ELD's ever since and never had a problem. As far as I'm concerned, anybody who is fighting to stay on paper logs wants to cook their books and cheat. Maybe it's time for those old dogs to retire if they can't keep up with the times and earn a living legally.
