You guys think Schneider will put cameras in the company trucks? Looks like a lot of companies are holding off as long as they can. A camera facing the road wouldn't bother me, but one facing me would get me very paranoid.

Did you contact Schneider Safety, and ask them?
-
No, but it looks like thAt is the way the industry is going. I think Schneider and some other carriers don't want to install them, but might not have much of a choice in the future.

Now's the time to start practicing saying..."CHEESE"!
pattyj Thanks this. -
Schneider is not putting the inward facing cameras in the trucks they are testing the ones to record outside the vehicle... I was told by Green Bay that recording inside the truck was too risky liability wise
-
Very smart IMHO

Cameras In?
Drivers Out!Derailed and Wild Murphy Thank this. -
That is what my last company told me, two months later.. BAM, inward facing cams. Who would've thought... a trucking outfit that lies to you? Lol
-
Schneider's legal department advised them on that...jakecat22 Thanks this.

Surely every other company that has started doing this was advised otherwise for obvious legal reasons. I'm just saying.. dont be surprised if it does happen.
