Can't get my CAT started

    That is a possibility. The fuel that's in the tanks is about 6 months old atleast but we did have the truck running on that fuel about a month ago before we tore it apart.

    Most likely isn't the fuel. Sounds like you may have the timing off. When you messed with the timing was the advance pushed all the way back in? If not that could be your problem.

    Ended up being the timing for the fuel pump. There's two different ways to check it, the first way looked to be correct but it wasn't and the 2nd way showed me how far off it really was. Once I got that fixed the truck started up easier than I've ever heard it start up the entire time I've owned it. Once again thanks a million for the help!
