How many times has your DD13 coolant temp sensor woken up dead? Turn key on, coolant up at 100ish, wait a few seconds, needle drops dead, check engine light comes on. Open hood, bang on temp sensor, cycle key a few times, finally stays at temp reading. Check engine light goes off but orange reminder light stays on for a few days, a week later it will say f it and turn off by itself. This is the third time in 3 years, didn't know temp sensors were wear items...

it's from the tripac running hot coolant through system with cool ambient temps, computer get confused why tf there is 50+ degrees difference between one temp sensor and another. shut off tripac for 5 minutes and let it sit before turning on truck and it's not confused anymore

Replaced the one in this truck. Did it again two weeks later. So replaced it again. Been 7 months no issues. Hope this helps.
It would kill the truck, so I unplugged it for a couple weeks. Finally got a muilty meter to the wires. Wires where good, so my boss just bought a brand new bad sensor. Then a brand new good sensor
