Im having problems with fuel leaking into my radiator im wondering if anyone can give me advice on whats causing this? is it a cracked head or injector o rings? There doesn't seem to be anything leaking into the oil and truck is stil running good so im thinking that coolant isn't leaking into fuel

That can be due to bad injector sleeves in the head.

Thanks for your reply! I have it in at the machanic they going to pull the head off to get to the injectors while they have the head off they said they will get the head pressure tested To make sure there are no cracks in it. If its a cracked head im geussing its going to cost me a lot more than if its a bad injector sleeve. In you experience do you think it is more likely to be just the injector sleeve or is there a big possibility it could be a cracked head?

The head does not have to come off to replace the injector tubes. If the head is cracked, you would have pressure in the cooling system, or coolant in the oil. Cracks in the heads, do not usually put fuel into the cooling system

Not to be a jerk, but if they told you that the head has to come off to get to the injectors, take your truck somewhere else. The head does not need to come off to do injector sleeves on a C12.

I'm thinkin the op probably ment valve covers, not the actual head. But hey, I'm winging it

It is most certainly an injector cup without a doubt. If you have one going they will all follow closely behind. My advice is pull the head and have it rebuilt or buy a reman. More money now but no downtime when another cup goes. Or at the least have all the cups done at once.

Thanks for all reply s . im all new to this trucking buisness as im into earthmoving this is my first truck and i dont know alot about engines but trying to learn as much as i can for times like this when breakdowns happen. The machanics who are working on it are a well known company and should know what they are doing but its good to know a little bit about it so i dont get taken for a ride. Thanks for all replies and appreciate and info on this cory by the sounds of it what you are saying is what the machanics are saying to me hence why they were taking the head off.
