Cat engine serial number help please

It's on pass side rear of block just below the head .
Gonna take some emery cloth to read it tho.

They don't get punched in very deep but it's there

 

I have a 2007 c 13 would the number be in the same place?

 

I have a cat motor in my 2004 Peterbilt and this is the only #1453849 that I can find . Need to know what it is the number is on the passenger side of the block?

 

I'm trying to ID a year model for a Cat C12 engine. The only number that I have is the block number that is cast into the lower right side. The number is 128-0406 and a 03 below that number. Can Y'all help me find the year model?

 

Is it in a truck? Get serial number of truck and bring it to the dealer. They should be able to get the serial number of engine with that. Or. Plug the ECM in and get serial number from that. Phone cat with serial number and they can give you build date
