I was wondering what the best "legal" CB radio would be with wx

Cobra makes several of theirs with the wx. Mine has it. Just spent a week looking at it, and draw a blank as to model.

I was looking at the Cobra 25 WX NW ST CB Radio; but realized that it has only 7 of the 10 weather channels.

As far as I know, there are only 7 used by NOAA.

Try that global trucker link on the bottom of the page, the unidens and cobras are basically the only cb's that have weather. They are all fine radios.

I just bought a Corbra 29 WX NW ST. Does anyone know if you can get echo, reverb, and talk back added (installed) to this type of radio? I was going to take it into the cb shop and ask the same question.

Well last I knew Uniden was using the better parts in their radios, they used to assemble boards for Cobra but had to raise the cost of manufacturing do to the rising cost of the components, Cobra did not want to pay the higher costs so moved their production and used cheaper components. Due to this I personally would buy Uniden. Though in my day I did love my Cobra before they started moving production around and was more of a quality over quantity company.

    Whtline,

Pretty sure that most anything can be installed in that radio. I would have the shop (if its a good one) to check the alignment of the "front end" receive. Most from factories any more make adjustments to components to a norm of a percentage of radios for faster production. Usually made by unqualified non technicians. Sometimes a shop will go through and check everything when you by options to install. Would ask them on this. Might as well have the best performing radio you can.
