I can't thank you all for the kindness and thoughts...
However, my parents are going to front me the $$ to get a CB so I can have one today IF I have everything I need...I don't see an antennae but here is a vid of the hookups on the dash, are these all I need?!?!?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2jnz8RO6-A -
yes thats all you need-red to fused red and black to black--make sure radio is off--hook up black last and the screw on antenna(with radio off)
if you dont have antenna's--going to need them as well--just for giggles look under your mattress--might be a pair hiding there,if the previous driver had his own--thats where the old ones end up -
Where would I mount the antennae and how much cord will I need?!?!?
If someone can talk me thru it, PM me and I"ll send my number(or send me yours)...Thanx in advance!

Kharma may be a biatche, but I love her!!!!!
I'm now the proud owner of a used(looks like 1970s) Uniden PC76XL!!!!!!!!!!...
I'm inside looking at the CBs, money in hand, like a kid in a candy store and an old timer asks me if I would consider a used one that needs a new mic, I said heck yeah!...$20 later he hooks it up to show me it works so I went in and bought an antennae and mic and now here I sits with a working CB!!!!...Aint life grand sometimes!!!!!!!
Thank you all for the push, especially you Chompi, may your kharma cup runneth over!wulfman75 Thanks this. -

Thanks for all the help you guys! Sometimes it is rough for new drivers getting going and even money for food is tough. A CB radio is very important to have, especially this time of year. Though you don't need to go crazy and talk on it all the time (like my wife) or have it blaring in the background but it is very important to have on just loud enough to monitor. It really could save your life! Drivers will let you know when visibility is zero and traffic is stopped just over the hill. Also talk you through some tough situations. They can tell you if the scale up ahead is open or full or if they are standing outside checking logs. If there are roads closed and you are not familiar with the area either local drivers or experienced drivers will tell you how to go around. They can also let you know exactly where your shipper/receivers are. Drivers coming from the opposite direction can tell you what they left behind as far as weather. Oh yeah, and the bears/police/DOT/pigs/wrappers you get the point. Drivers can let you know if there is something wrong with your rig while you are driving in front of them such as bad tires, burnt out lights, dragging something etc... or could even wake you up if they think you are sleepy! Anyway to sum it up having a radio is very important.
Thank you very much everyone for helping out Walstib! I know he is a man with a lot of pride and sometimes people with pride tend to shy away from asking for a helping hand.
Thanks again!l<enny, just lil me and wulfman75 Thank this.
