When I tested, I wasn't a bit concerned if they gave me 1 try, or 100 tries.
In fact, I wouldn't even have allowed myself to test, or drive afterward, if I felt less than 100% capable and it was honestly deserved.
Sure, you won't be fully experienced, but before anyone takes sole control of 60k-80k of vehicle on the road/highway, make sure you are 100% safe and qualified for the other motorists sake.
