Been that way since their inception
I was a Driver Trainer at Career Education in Ft Worth Tx for 3 years (89-91)before they crashed out. General topics were often discussed openly
with the inner workings of the business end(Gov Loans etc) to be quite the bureaucratic scam.We all went with the flow because we were paid very well.
Recruiters got'em signed(loans financed) and we got them the Texas requirement 320hrs of training and on to the next Class.
Most trainers knew better but were "required" to follow the prescribed
curriculum's.Favoritism was frequently shown to above average performers
while the "warm bodies" were allowed to float.
If anyone of you have been thru a similar school you know first hand of what I speak, its truly a shame but its still common practice in 2009.
