Swift operates a little different ... Swift only has $.34 transaction fee with no restrictions. Yeah, other carriers might give you a discount. But then charge you a $2 or $3 and I've seen as high as $7 fee if you go anywhere other than where you get a discount off the posted pump price

And getting a $.20, $.30 or even a $.40 discount at the TA, Pilot , or Loves is no big deal, when you can beat their price by that much or more at the next exit.

Even if you use Swift's fuel card, Swift still encourages you to buy your fuel at the cheapest place you can find.

Celadon bought them out about a year and a half ago (mostly for that company's clients).

I understand that ,it was implied they did something wrong to the employees.

Every time a company acquires another; people are resistant to the change and many hate what's done: every time.. As a Celadon driver I saw some real effort to make many of those drivers happy in our system to no avail: the attitudes were always, no matter what: " we got screwed".. its understandable; I get that! and feel for them always..but, why continue to try to make them happy when the underlying issue of their old jobs gone can't be remedied and nothing can change that? So, I think the acquiring companies just give up trying...
Soon; it might be me, so, I guess I will have an insight into how they might have felt and how I should react to the situation...:(

I worked with many of the drivers from the glen Moore buyout, tango buyout, etc... they didn't just kick all the drivers to the curb!

I can't comment on the lease plans; I've only been a company driver with Celadon. I have no insight into the lease purchase side of it..

They are advertising for Company drivers up here! Probably everywhere I'd assume.
