Partially true! This time last year a lot more Companies were advertising up here! Hasn't quite hit a fever pitch yet, well except for US Express they have never stopped.

 

Why would the driver be entitled to the fuel rebate? It's not their rebate, they didn't negotiate it. Swift negotiated on their total fleet purchase, not the owner operator.

Swift offers a fuel card. No penalties for using it anywhere. If somebody wants to go chasing points for showers, that's their problem not Swifts. Swift doesn't make a secret about getting discounts. They state so in the contract.

Every company gets a discount and keeps some, if not most of it. Swift is more honest than most with their fuel card. No large transaction fees, no restrictive network.

 

Maybe not but their pay was cut drastically and many of them were given less than 2000 miles a week . A clear statement of "We don't need you"

 

If I drove for Celadon I would say screw the fuel solution and keep enough fuel in my truck to get home.

There is no other reason to buy a trucking company but for the customer base, everything else you can get on the open market
