I assume there are drain holes?

Also how much clearance is there for you to get a hand into the bottom of the inside sections?

 

I’m poor, and have slightly different requirements. I used 5 dollar paint buckets. Used one gallon paint cans probably would have worked even better.

your idea is pretty slick though.

 

a buddy of mine used different lengths of 6 inch abs plastic pipe with stove bolts holding them together inside. He still hung them up inside the headache rack but they were not tangled and the binders were not tangled.

 

I’ve tried various things over the years. Last truck had 4” drainage pipe and that worked really well.

 

That’s the slickest setup I’ve ever seen. Awesomeness!

 

You bought all new chains too? Looks that way...

I was thinking to how much weight does a side box hold? I've had to reinforce mine where all 4 bolts go as they've rotted through where the bolt goes in...
