Just got finished listening to our 3rd quarter news thing on the qualcomm. Seems as though, we owner operators are having all sorts of safety issues, and more importantly.....

Some pretty significant changes to our P&G contract. Not sure what they are, other than we lost many of our longer loads to intermodal, and other loads to "customer pickup".

What are you folks seeing on this front? Seeing much of a loss here overall?

Well for one a lot of these wannabes over here like the one that my ICA sent to us the other day that jackknife his truck and rolled it because the idiot was doing 75 miles an hour in the rain... Because of idiots like that we lose contracts at least part of the reason

That's the why, and every company has to deal with those types of drivers.

I'm curious what the effect of the changes is though. Those made for some often heavy, but decent and plentiful loads in some areas.

If that's where the Edwardsville to Denver loads went, well, then, that's just ####ing great. Those loads balanced out running for the pittance we get out of Denver. But that's cool, they cut the rate on a lot of the stuff going into Denver by a HUGE margin over the last few weeks on top of it. Since I can't move, and I can't stay out for weeks at a time, I'll be punching my card soon. I'm done with the games.

It was an excuse to gank the really good paying freight and stick it on company trucks... you know, that thing they told us they never, ever did.
