I have a brand-new truck within eaten 10 in it. When shutting down it seems there is a noticeable chattering occurring in the transmission or driveline for a few seconds. Is this normal? My old truck had a Spicer seven in it and I do not recall it ever making the chattering like this. This happens every time you shut the engine off. Has this happened 21 else, I mean is it normal

Sounds like a meritor clutch, push clutch pedal in and see if it stops when you shut down.
-
Is this an ULTRASHIFT?
-
Air shift I dont know what ultra shift is.. And if it stops when I depress the clutch what does that mean?
-
If you have a clutch pedal it is either a full manual or an Auto-shift, an Auto shift, shifts thru the gears for you and has three pedals, YOU operate the clutch, and Ultra shift shifts for you and IT operates the clutch, there is NO pedal.
-
No I definately have a clutch, and yes it is a Meritor
-
OK, but do YOU shift the tranny or is it actuated for you?
-
I shift the tranny
-
OK, one thing at a time, you pull into a parking spot, you put the tranny in neutral, you pop your air valve, and then shut the truck off. THEN it makes this noise????
-
Exactly, just seems like a rough shutdown
