Hi guys, I need some help diagnosing a problem. If you guys could lead me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it! I have a 2011 Kenworth T800 with a C13 Acert engine with a 10 speed transmission. The check engine light and stop engine light come on momentarily for like a second or two at higher revs (if maintained for a few seconds at around 15 rpm or higher) and turn off when I let go of the accelerator. Tried pulling the fault errors on the onboard system but it pulls no error codes. The truck works in the dump industry with a lot of dust and I don't know if feels kinda sluggish at times like something is blocked or restriction somewhere. I have changed engine air filter last month. I noticed the problem last year during the last week of the season, driving on the highway on gear 10 couldn't go faster than 60/65 mph without both lights coming on. This year, I've been to the yard to turn my truck on a few times in this cold Chicago weather but had only driven it like 3 times a short distance to a mechanic for fender installs and minor work like that not involving the engine with no lights coming on. Last time driving the truck was last friday (2/2/24). Today (2/5/24) I decided to go for a ride hooked up to the trailer to go get both truck and trailer inspected for annual safety inspection. After letting the truck warm up about 20/25 minutes, I couldn't leave the yard without both lights coming on even at low gears but still at higher revs (15 rpms) but both lights turning off as soon as I let go of accelerator and revs go down. Parked the truck turned it off and back on engine sounded better. I was able to leave the yard and went for a small ride in the vicinity of my yard. I was able to get up to 10th gear when the lights came back on momentarily at around 60 mph at 15rpms. What is going on? What can be causing this? What are some things I could check out? Any information is highly appreciated! Thank you!

Going to have to get someone to hook up ET and go for a drive, see what codes or events go active when you bring the RPM up.

high idle is only 750rpm on this cascadia and I once tried using a stick to hold the throttle down to ~1000rpm when cold af in chicago, same lights came on, orange check engine and red STOP. took the stick off and lights immediately went out. oil pressures all normal.

the lights are gonna be triggered by some sensor, RPM-based is gonna be something pressure related, I would look at turbo first. by look i mean find a mobile mechanic with diesel diagnostic laptop that won't steal your wallet just to plug in and read the computer while you make it do the thing

Is turbo boost high? A leaking waste gate hose will cause a high turbo speed light sometimes.. PS I didn’t know they made the accert still in 2011 . The sdp prefix was part of a class action suit due to reliability issues
